Because if you do not feed, charge, or groom it, it will make a lot of noise. The more noises the toy does - the faster you will be spotted by the Mama Tattletail. However, it is not easy to look after the status of your toy. For example, in order to feed it, you need to go to the kitchen. If you want to charge it, you need to move to the basement, etc. It makes it harder to survive the night. Even more, your flashlight has to be recharged. In order to do that, you have to shake it. The Mama Tattletail can hear you shaking the flashlight. If flashlight turns off, the Tattletail toy will begin making noises.
