Given the size and the grandness of the game, it’s drawn very well. You can choose everything: your appearance and clothes, furniture and decorations, animals and places to party, and they are all available in 3D, with very convincing details. Not that it’s photorealistic, but it’s drawn very thoroughly, and the movements are quite natural. Well, you can even dance, and maybe better than you do IRL! Definitely great.

First, you create your image, select your appearance, dress your character, prepare an apartment for him or her, equip with various devices, maybe add a pet. Then you can go out and socialize, make contacts, try various activities, visit locations, and so on.

One of the main elements of Avakin Life is the chat. Any location has its own chat, open for anyone who’s in. You can also add friends to your own list, and communicate, regardless of where you are.

There are two basic options in controls: you can activate virtual joysticks or use touch gestures in different areas of the screen. Anyway, it will resemble the way you control your characters in third-person perspective games on consoles. The screen imitates the gamepad both ways; still, there is a difference between virtual joysticks and touch areas. There are always virtual buttons as well for navigating the menu and interacting with objects.
