Top 10 Biggest Games of E3 2017 on Blog

For more than 20 years the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or simply the E3 conference, excites us with breathtaking gaming announcements. This year wasn't an exclusion, and the world met dozens of amazing games from the big guys like Ubisoft, Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Electronic Arts and others. Let's take a closer look at the leaders of this E3 2017 conference that will entertain us in the nearest future.

ANTHEM

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC

Due: Fall 2018

Anthem significantly differs from all the games BioWare made before. It seems to be the company’s response to Destiny because the main feature of Anthem is its beautifully designed sci-fi world and a multiplayer mode that lets you fight and explore unknown places with any four of your friends.

Unfortunately, nothing is clear about the Anthem’s storyline, but as we can guess from the video something horrible has happened to the Earth. Of course, if the place of action is actually Earth. People hide behind the walls from the electrical storms, marauders, and huge monsters. Your task is to meet the danger and stop the alien enemy from the enslavement of the humankind.

SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Due: 27 October

The developers of Super Mario Odyssey surprised everybody at the E3 conference by announcing that Super Mario doesn’t have “Game Over” anymore which has become a tradition for all games of the series. There is no lives or bonus to increase them. Whenever your hero dies, you just lose ten gold coins and get transferred to the new location. Moreover, you don’t need to start over the level you were playing in, even if you had less than ten coins.

In Super Mario Odyssey you will explore beautiful three-dimensional kingdoms full of secrets and surprises, choose different costumes for Mario, drive unusual vehicles, interact with the gaming environment and meet well-known friends and almost forgotten enemies. This Mario's part is magical and will transform for sure your playing experience.

STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Due: 17 November

A huge amount of new content is waiting for players in Star Wars Battlefront II: planets, weapons, factions, unseen technologies and the ability to play not only for Empire or Rebels in the multiplayer mode but also for droids and clones. The division into classes appears in this Star Wars part and brings an element of strategic team play so that combats feel much less random than in the previous game. You can become an officer, shooter or any other character for a certain amount of battle points. All of the heroes have own upgradable weapons and various skills.

Also, the developers promised to make regular free updates to add even more content like battlefields, modes and equipment as well as make seasonal add-ons with new maps and heroes available for no charge.

FORZA MOTORSPORT 7

Platform: Xbox One

Due: 3 October

The Forza Motorsport series has always been known for its highly detailed and realistic graphics as well as mechanics. The seventh part is not an exception. The main change of Forza Motorsport 7 is, obviously, a personalization of the player. You can choose not only the car of your dreams but also make a perfect driver. Customize your character with helmet, gloves and lots of racing suits. Don’t forget to pick a driver’s gender: the woman character is also available. However, whatever you choose for your driver it doesn’t affect the gameplay anyhow.

Also, the Turn 10 company has promised players a wide range of cars ( about seven hundred ) including some vintage models and the latest once like Porsche GT 911. There are thirty available countries around the world and more than two hundred different tracks. So you will find something to choose.

SPIDER-MAN

Platform: PlayStation 4

Due: 2018

Unreservedly, the most expected game from Sony Studio is an open-world exclusive for PS4 - Spider-Man. The game’s trailer at the E3 conference was impressively striking and looked like the action-packed animated movie about Spider-Man. This time you will see the game tons of new and crazy acrobatic tricks as well as attacks that are enjoyable even if you just look at them. Of course, we can’t be sure that this game will play as good as it looks. But it remains to be seen in the nearest future.

GOD OF WAR

Platform: PlayStation 4

Due: Early 2018

Kratos has never looked better than in the God of War reboot. The legendary warrior still easily destroys enemies using just an ax and shield and fights to survive. In this part, you will meet Kratos’s son, Atreus, who will also participate in combats and learn how to survive in such cold and harsh conditions. Some of the game’s mechanics seem to be changed, but the gameplay remains the same.

A new character appears in God of War - a friendly monster named the World's Serpent, whose language understands only the little boy. It’s unclear from the trailer why does this beautiful and at the same time terrifying creature appears, but we will figure it out shortly because the game is promised to be released in early 2018.

WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Due: 27 October

Bethesda and MachineGames have presented a short trailer of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus at the E3 conference and excited players with the coming on October 27 release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The storyline shows us the events that occur in America in 1961. The primary task of your character is to fight with the Nazis that have captured the homeland while visiting the most diverse corners of the country, like destroyed by an atomic bomb Manhattan or New Orleans with its marshy lakes. Yes, there will be a plenty of Nazi-blasting, but the surprisingly intricate story and interesting mechanics will make you obsessed with this game shortly.

DESTINY 2

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Due: 6 September

It’s almost here. Modified Destiny 2 with new environments, weapons and loot, interesting modes, an improved approach to clans, and plenty of cinematic gloss will be released for console on September 6. However, the PC gamers need to wait for the game until October 24. In case you're expecting to see something dramatically different from the original game, you will be likely disappointed: Destiny 2 looks more like a refinement version of the game’s formula rather a new sequel. Anyway, we will be able to check it shortly and let you know with the own decision.

FIFA 18

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Due: 29 September

FIFA 18 with the Frostbite game engine is back, and it’s even more polished now. The game still features a narrative-driven single-player campaign and continues the journey of Alex Hunter - the fictional player from the last year's games who is a Premier League footballer trying to get a separate reputation from his fictional grandfather, Jim Hunter.

So far this is all that is known about FIFA 18. The gameplay changes and other details Electronic Arts promised to share later. But pre-orders of the game have already been opened on all current platforms.

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS

Platform: PlayStation 4

Due: 2018

The most unexpected announcement at the Sony E3 press conference was the re-release of Shadow of the Colossus - the legendary game and one of the most beloved PlayStation 2 adventures that is being modified with the all-new assets for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Japan Studio and Bluepoint Games.

This fabulous fantasy quest was announced with a beautiful gameplay trailer from which we can see how the video game visuals were improved since the PS2 era. The game looks impressive in the video trailer and doesn’t even feel like a remaster, rather a full-fledged remake with an updated engine, high-quality textures, and a redrawn environment. The release of Shadow of the Colossus will take place in 2018 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

There were so many games presented at the E3 conference 2017 that you might miss something worthwhile. But the list above with the top popular games of E3 2017 has you covered.

We hope that breathtaking trailers excited you and the list helped you to find out which games are worthy of your money and attention. In case your favorite game isn’t listed above, and you think that it should be there, let us know in the comments. We will also gladly review it!
