Gameplay

Blizzard Entertainment seemed to take everyone by surprise when they announced the remake of the 2002 classic Warcraft 3 at BlizzCon 2018. Blizzard has later gone on to explain that the main aim of the remake was to update the game’s visuals to modern-day standards. This means that you shouldn’t expect any significant gameplay changes, as the Blizzard team working on the Reforged edition is dedicated to preserving the original experience as much as possible.

Visuals and Sound Effects

What you should expect are the newly rendered character models and environments, as well as an improved UI. Fans who chose to splurge on a Warcraft 3: Reforged pre-order have already had an opportunity to experience the 4K-ready goodness, and so far, the new visuals have mostly received positive feedback. However, there was quite a lot of backlash towards Blizzard’s attempts to replace the voice acting and audio effects from the old version of the game with new tracks.
