Developed by the legendary Sid Meier, F-15 Strike Eagle has been described as a mega hit and a blockbuster. It was named Computer Gaming Worlds Action Game of the Year in 1985.
Much like Sid Meiers earlier Command Series titles, the gameplay is based on real life missions flown by F-15 fighter pilots in the Middle East and Asia in the 1970s and 80s. Meier collaborated with Air Force pilot John W. Bill Stealy to ensure the games accuracy.
