As usual, you’re going to pass through incredibly spectacular missions that involve giant alien forms of life. It’s just hard to find anything like this anywhere else. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: IRON RAIN latest version doesn’t pretend to be the smoothest and the most detailed game in the genre. On the other hand, it more than beats all the FPS games that we know with insane unscripted action-packed scenes. You just enter the battlefield, load your gun, and the iron mayhem begins. That’s how IRON RAIN justifies its title on 100%. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: IRON RAIN system requirements are pretty basic.

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: IRON RAIN gameplay is similar to its visuals. It’s impressively intense, moderately challenging, and extremely fun. Don’t ever try to take everything that goes in this game seriously because you risk missing the real fun that developers put into it. It’s a classic gamified parody on action-packed Hollywood movies about humanity fighting some unknows where-the-hack-from ultra-advanced enemies, such as Skyline, Sea Battle, Alien Invasion, and, of course, the sweet Starship Troopers. It’s also a Japanese title, so get ready for colorful mechs, anime-like characters, and loads of odd humor. What can be better?

The battle against the invaders in EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: IRON RAIN full game takes as many as 50 battle missions with hilarious plot inter-cuts. The game reveals it’s real potential when it comes to multiplayer because it allows you to play with a bunch of friends from one device, meet online, or pass the entire campaign in online co-op regime. It’s an awesome geeky party option.

If you don’t want to rush and play after reading EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: IRON RAIN review, you probably don’t get the fun of fighting Godzilla that attacks the devastated city, coming out of the sea. In all other cases, you won’t regret the purchase. Also, it will cost you less than 30 bucks. If you play games just for fun and enjoy awkward Asian humor with numerous gags, then it’s highly recommended. If not, you’ll love the action anyway.
