Halo: The Master Chief Collection specs guarantee us enjoyable visuals. Firstly, the classic Halo titles were promised to be remastered. As we learn from Steam, the collection will have 4K resolutions, HDR, and support for various display formats. If the rumored Halo: The Master Chief Collection system requirements are true, then we'll get these modes:

• 16:9;
• 21:9;
• 16:10;
• 3:2;
• 4:3.

That means that new life will be breathed into iconic Halo models and characters. Brutes, Jackals, Cortana, Gravemind and Chief himself will get shinier and more polished looks. But the model concepts will remain untouched, so the game stays true to its roots.

Sadly, sound effects in Halo: Reach are quite weak. Laser sounds, blasts and shots lack energy and depth. Apparently, the original sound SFX was emulated from the Xbox version. Without having the XAF format re-coded to X Audio.

As our Halo: The Master Chief Collection review has found out, there will be 6 games in total:

1. Halo 3;
2. Halo 4;
3. Halo: Reach;
4. Halo 3: ODST;
5. Halo 2: Anniversary;
6. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Unfortunately, Halo 3: ODST will feature no Firefight mode, at least so far. Every game can be purchased separately, or you can get the whole bundle via Steam/Microsoft Store. Halo: The Master Chief Collection price is $39.99.

Although classic games will stay the same, there will be a few new additions. For instance, multiplayer in Halo: Reach will see title updates. This is done to keep weapons and armor well-balanced. As well as to oust cheaters and hackers.

Besides, multiplayer will now feature seasonal events with different trophies to conquer. Players will be offered to earn season points that will allow unlocking some goodies: voice lines, arsenal upgrades, armor elements and maybe dance emotes too.

It's been promised that Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC will have great mouse + keyboard controls. But Halo: Reach shows some issues. First, squat mechanics are pretty awkward. In order to squat, you need to stop your avatar first and then press C, which is unintuitive.

Replay Value 5/5

Halo's old campaigns are an exquisite dish alone. But apart from the good old classics, you also get new content, earnable trophies and seasonal events in the multiplayer. All this plenitude of cool add-ons certainly makes Halo: The Master Chief Collection game a good investment.
