And while true fans of the series won't be disappointed, the overall retro feeling may scare away newcomers.

Those, however, who are brave enough to give this classic a chance, will be surprised by its depth, a sheer amount of features, and the smoothness of Super Mario World gameplay. It is considered a definite all-time classic for a reason, and now Super Mario World costs about $8. You become really enchanted by this game the moment you see the first level's map – it's just so stylish and promises a lot of interesting things hidden behind it.

First of all, the Super Mario World app is praised for its mechanics. They are simple yet flexible, and if the overall rules of the Mario universe seem especially arbitrary here (after all, this game is about an adventure of a plumber riding a dinosaur), that doesn't mean you can't learn them and use them. Even if you've played it quite for some time before, there is always a possibility to find something new. With 74 areas and 96 hidden exits, you have to spend hundreds of hours literally to discover at least half of them. That means this game is almost endless, and its replay value is extremely high.
