Animal Crossing™: New Horizons
Animal Crossing is a life simulator. Animal Crossing: New Horizons game was created by Nintendo. The release date of this simulation game is March 20, 2020. It is coming out on the Nintendo Switch platform only. You can download Animal Crossing for $60. Check the latest update on the Nintendo Store.
Graphics 4/5
The game was made in the cartoon style and looks like the cartoons for children ages 2-6. There are a lot of bright colors and glitchy animations but the characters have no faces details. What we liked during the Animal Crossing review was the presence of the large numbers of different gradients and color shades.
Gameplay 5/5
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not the first entry in the series; therefore, its gameplay shares two main factors: nonlinear and real-time. The game is very similar to the Sims, only more adapted for children. Each player controls a fictional character who arrives to live on a desert island. By the way, you can change the appearance and behavior of the hero. On the island, your main task is to make it attractive to tourists and cozy for residents. You can explore the island, collect various materials and make products from them, for example, you can build furniture from wood. For completing missions, you will be rewarded with game currency — Nook Miles, which can be spent on the purchase of unique items.
New Horizons is the first game in the series that has the feature of auto-saving. The game supports two modes: a multiplayer and a singleplayer. The local multiplayer supports up to four players, while the online regime — up to eight.
Controls 5/5
The game is only available on the Nintendo Switch platform, so to play it, you need to purchase additional controls. There is a detailed instruction on how to play the game and what commands use. As the main audience of Animal Crossing is children, the controls are very simple and easy-to-remember. There are only several commands.
Replay Value 3/5
Despite the fact that the game has a multiplayer mode, the reply value rank is pretty low. This is due to the monotony of the gameplay and the absence of any intrigue that would motivate players to pass the game again.
The Bottom Line
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life-simulation game for children. People can download it on Nintendo Store.
