Bejeweled Classic latest version preserves the style of the original game and adds up more gloss to the image. Although its entirely 2D, jewels seem to be volumetric due to high-quality textures and effects. Along with the variety of settings, it makes the Bejeweled Classic game unique and exciting for exploration. You will visit cold Polar glaciers, poker rooms, cloudy heaven, a steampunk underground of the Gold Mine, a field of butterflies, and the diamond mine. The entire experience is optimized for all types of Retina displays so that you can enjoy the game even on the largest iPad Pro in full resolution.

This time, developers decided to implement several match-3 modes to diversify the familiar Bejeweled Classic gameplay. In the classic puzzle, you have to earn a particular amount of points to complete objectives. In the Zen mode, you can relax while solving basic riddles and enjoying Zen effects. The Butterfly game offers you to beat the spider that desires to eat all the butterflies. When you travel to the Icy Storm area, you have to keep the cold out of your house by solving puzzles faster then the cold air gets in. The Diamond Mine hides a lot of treasures, but to get them, you have to dig deep using the power of exploding gems. Finally, the brand new Poker room is a place where you can play the sophisticated version of Texas Holdem. Every combination of jewels is equal to a particular Poker combo, so you can easily make pairs, flushes, full houses, and any other turns.

As usual, you have to tap and drag your finger from the first stone to the last to draw a line upon them and clear the sector. It’s possible to explode jewels only if the line includes 3 or more stones of one color. Otherwise, they just won’t explode. There’s almost no way to make a mistake. On the other hand, you can be inventive and earn more points with complicated strategies.

Bejeweled Classic full game provides several hundreds of levels so that you can play it for hours. Moreover, new challenges are being added with every significant update. Besides, you can compete with your friends from Facebook or try to lift your nick on the leaderboards.

The Bottom Line

It’s wasn’t a surprise for us, when we tested the game for this Bejeweled Classic review, but the new chapter is excellent. It’s a long-playing puzzle experience that combines both classic and new original features.
