Letgo
Letgo is a marketplace app where you can get rid of something you don’t need or find a good offer for something you do need. You can download Letgo for Android and iOS, using it as often as you can, and browse through the deals in your vicinity or worldwide.
Functionality — 5/5
It’s a free marketplace where everyone can post their listings for items or services they provide, and the customers can respond directly. There are special forms to fill and sections to locate your offers, and a built-in messaging system, so you can connect to your vis-à-vis and talk everything over.
The app doesn’t feature its own payment system, so you’ll need to get with PayPal or your banking app.
Design — 5/5
The app is, first of all, meant to show you the listings, with pictures, detailed descriptions, and a feedback form. It doesn’t have a night mode yet, but it’s not important. On the other hand, it shows you everything in the most readable version, featuring a white background and black readable text. The search is sometimes glitchy, but it doesn’t matter much.
Usability — 5/5
What impresses the most about Letgo is its built-in AI-based image recognition system. It’s enough for you to upload the image of your item. The app will detect what’s there – a car, a phone, shoes or clothing, books or wine, garden inventory or decoration, and so on. On recognizing what the item is, it recommends you the category to publish your listing to.
If you are buying, the app has multilevel filters to easier find what you need. You can set categories, price levels, names (or its fragments) the listing contains. It’s quite safe because the app doesn’t make payments. They are processed by your bank or PayPal.
In addition, Letgo sends you notifications about new listings in your area, prices dropping, new replies from your sellers or customers, and so on. With it you don’t have to update the page manually: your communication will never fail you.
Cross-Platform Use — 5/5
Letgo is available for iOS and Android, as well as in web version for a desktop platform. There is no difference between the two to highlight in this Letgo review. Installing the app from app markets is easy. On the other hand, if you can’t install it because your country is not covered yet, it’s easier to do the trick on Android: just download Letgo .APK file and install it. On iOS, it will require changing your country in your Apple ID account, and that may cost you higher payments and lost subscriptions.
In-App Purchases
Though the app is all about purchasing things, it has no paid features. You can have a Pro account if you are a car seller, selling over 30 cars monthly, but if you are a sort of user, you already know that. Private listings are free.
The Bottom Line
Letgo is one of the greatest marketplaces online, made for common people to help them replace garage sales. Yes, it has its weaknesses and attractiveness, but the idea is what people want is obviously around. And it’s really easy to have a year-long garage sale, regardless of the season and the weather.
Easy to identify the object by the pic;
Large catalogue with various resources;
Special sections for car running.
