Microsoft PowerPoint is an official mobile version of the most popular software for creating presentations. It’s the part of Office 365, but you can download Microsoft PowerPoint for mobile apart from the bundle on Play Market for Android and App Store for iOS. This app provides powerful professional tools for making all types of presentations.

It’s impressive how Microsoft managed to transform the interface of the huge computer program into a neat and intuitive mobile environment of the Microsoft PowerPoint app. There are no cumbersome panels with tools and formatting. Instead, all the necessary features appear only when you may need them. You only have to tap objects to reveal all available instruments. Controls elements are always at your fingertips, so you can even create something on the go, using just one thumb.

First of all, this app is a convenient PPT/PPTX viewer that’s compatible with all native formatting features of the original PC version. Secondly, it’s a full-scale editing toolbox for any presentation files. You can use it to make edits to presentations, change some of their elements, or suggest edits. All Microsoft products that are connected to the corporate network support collaborative work. It means that you can do your work, save it, and other collaborators will see it immediately. In other cases, you can share documents anywhere you need, including social networks, messengers, cloud storage, planners, and any other destinations.  

If you use the mobile Microsoft PowerPoint to make presentations from the ground up, you should know that it provides fewer features. However, it’s not very noticeable as long as you can draw on slides, apply various effects, animation, and all original themes.

You can create an unlimited number of slides, use themes, play with shapes, draw with your finger, Apple Pencil, or other compatible devices. All images and videos from your gallery and external storages are available for inserting on slides. Text and links from the cache will work as well.

Microsoft PowerPoint is distributed as a part of the Office 365 bundle, so it will cost you money to use the full range of features that come into the package. You still can use it for free in terms of the trial. The free version that we downloaded for the Microsoft PowerPoint review appeared to be enough for everything.  

The Bottom Line

Microsoft PowerPoint for mobile devices appeared to be as good as the original version for computers. Yes, it offers slightly less freedom and speed, but it’s the most powerful engine for presentations amongst all mobile apps. It’s excellent for drafts and even full-scale presentations if they don’t involve anything sophisticated.
