When you have a good relationship with someone, they will help you with whatever they can offer. Meanwhile If you go make them unhappy, relationship between you and them will be down, So they maybe unlike or hate you. In the worst case, they may become enemy and try to hurt you.
Criminals are merciless. when they hate you, Not only will they try to hurt you. They will also try to hurt your friend too. When your friend is dead various helps from them was there will be gone too. So your life will be more difficult.
