Dead by Daylight game was created with the advanced Unreal Engine 4 development kit by Epic Games. It’s one of the most realistic horror franchises, and it’s definitely very stylish and atmospheric. Every location design boosts the feeling of doom like there’s always somebody behind your shoulder.

Dead by Daylight gameplay core is similar to all first-person games, but the mission concept is unique. At the beginning of every stage, you can choose between a foe and a victim. There’s always one killer who haunts 4 victims on a spacious map. If you play a victim, you must learn how and where to hide, run away to survive, and help your colleagues to look after supporting facilities. There are many things to do if you’re the victim! Interacting with objects may unlock various achievements and skill checks. At the end of the round, you have a chance to win by hitting more blood points than the killer. The game can finish only if the killer eliminates all 4 targets, or if they manage to run away. For this purpose, they have to repair several power generators, launch them, find the switch and hold it for 20 seconds to unlock the escape door. Those players who miss the chance, have to continue playing until the killer gets them.

For this Dead by Daylight review, we tested versions for PC, PS4, Switch, and Android. PC supports both keyboard-plus-mouse and controller inputs. The balance on PC and consoles is absolutely the same, but you can tune the sensitivity in settings at any time. The Android version is slightly simplified, but still convenient enough to play long hours.

Although Dead by Daylight full game provides only 2 game modes, there is a handful of characters and locations to experience. Many of them are originally created by developers, while the other half arrived from other popular movies and gaming franchises. The roster of addons includes Stranger Things, Halloween, Left 4 Dead, Saw, Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Many more crossovers are on the way.
