Deer Calls latest version looks like a greeting-card from 2012 when Android Jelly Bean was the most advanced mobile operating system. Nevertheless, it’s convenient enough for quick browsing. The main menu provides fast access to recordings and the guide. When you choose one of the options, you can either get back to the menu or just open the list of sections in the top left corner. The minus of this system is that you can’t leave bookmarks in the guide to return to the text faster.

First of all, we recommend you to get acquainted with the calling guide. It includes a comprehensive description of the entire process so that you knew the rules. Did you know that you must find the right cover, what is the proper distance, or what habits a deer has? This guide has all the answers. Unfortunately, there’s no option to make notes or edit the guide. It would be nice if developers add an option to make custom notes and share them with other users who hunt in the same area. 

The integrated player can loop deer calls to set you free from pressing the play button every time the records stops. Don’t play the sounds from the phone speaker! It’s important to have a Bluetooth speaker with a long play distance. You may need to put it 100 yards away from the ambush, so make sure your gear is ready for that.
