The concept of the user interface in this application is quite unusual as for a photo editor. Developers tried to push such a massive pile of effects into 3 buttons called Animate (for GIF animations), Art & Effects, and Text. On the one hand, it’s convenient because you don’t have to navigate categories. On the other hand, you can’t see your original image when you scroll down libraries of filters and effects. They’re displayed as overlays upon sample images, which is distracting.

If you install Photo Lab PRO Picture Editor: effects, blur & art, you will see that it takes just around 50MB on your device. But where are all samples and effects? They’re all online! That’s great because you will have more free space for photos, but there’s no way to edit photos if you don’t have a mobile Internet or a WiFi spot nearby. A mobile app must be mobile, isn’t it? 

Talking about the quality of effects, it’s almost excellent. There are so many of them that you will find something that matches your photo for sure. Again, it’s quite hard to make a choice because there are hundreds of them. Isn’t it better to make less with better quality? 

The library includes artistic filters, human-into animal masks, background effects, face-in-hole, celebrity collages, and even magazine covers. They’re all mostly funny because it’s quite difficult to make a natural match without Photoshop.

The more, the better. That seems to be the motto of the Linerock Investments team. There are some beautiful and exclusive effects and montages. They set you free from dull editing in complicated programs on a computer. The app itself consists of algorithms for applying effects, while source samples are stored in the cloud, which means that they’re not overcompressed.
