The app looks like a Wells Fargo project should, designed in corporate colors, with all the critical features available from the home page, and all the others on corresponding tabs. The texts are easily readable. It’s well optimized for notched screens as well as for good old 16:9 ones. The app is available in English and Spanish, and you can switch languages right within the app.

Usability 5/5

The main difference between WF Mobile and other banking apps is supposed to be Control Tower – the tab with your transaction timeline. From Control Tower you can access any operation you need at the moment: check your balance, transfer funds, set up recurring payments, and so on. Other sections give you a detailed view of any aspect of your financial life.

With this app, you can create and manage deposits, set payment limits, see your transaction history, the current funds on your account, and so on. If you have several cards connected to your credentials, you’ll have detailed stats on all of them. Your reward program is also displayed in the app, so you can check your refunded money at any moment.

The app also lets you withdraw your funds at any Wells Fargo ATM with no extra fee at all. A built-in map shows you the nearest ATM around you all across the USA.

To enhance your security and provide more comfort, Wells Fargo Mobile supports biometrical authentication. You can log in with your email and password, as well as use your fingerprint or face with TouchID or FaceID if your phone supports any of these. On the other hand, for security reasons the developers disabled making screenshots of the app. If you need to make one, say, to confirm a transfer to the recipient, you’ll have to do it with another device’s camera.

The app is completely free for Wells Fargo customers, offering all types of support. There are no extra fees for completing your transaction through the app or for notifications you receive in it. All your operations are charged just the same as if you conducted them from a WF office.
