The app is designed to be as simple as it can be. First, select the picture of a pet from the app’s base or your own one. Then you only need to record a speech, and you’ll be able to preview your video right in the window you used to choose the photo. Everything, from a file manager to the export menu, is made as easy as it gets (though some images and features are locked in the free version).

Usability 5/5

All you have to do with this app is to select the photo, speak your speech, and let the app do the rest. On each of these stages, though, there are extra possibilities. First, you are not bound to the furry cuties the app suggests (though they are nice). You can choose your own picture (oh, well, the picture of your own pet, though why not try it with your own face as well). By the way, the file manager lets you access your cloud drives and download photos from there.

Then you go to the record menu. Press a button to record a phrase or the entire speech. Then press it again and see the app render the selected photo into a video. On this video the animal (or the human if you decided on that) moves the mouth, as if saying your speech). The precision isn’t perfect; but who would take this funny video this seriously?

On this stage, you can adjust the speed and the pitch of the recorded voice. If you are a subscriber, there are also extra features, like adding text or stickers, including hats, glasses, other accessories.

Come on, you can now send this video to Facebook, or to someone on any messenger you use. Of course, the videos can be just saved in your gallery and sent later. There is another reason to make more pics of your pets now, isn’t there?

There are features that could have been added in any photo editor, was it for a still frame. With a video, though, it’s harder to do; so sending it to an external video editor to add some text or a sticker would not be a piece of cake. If you consider these extras necessary, you better purchase the full version.

The basic feature of animating the picture to your words is available for free. Yet if you want to add texts, stickers, other external elements to make your videos even more impressive, you’ll have to subscribe. A weekly subscription is $0.99; a monthly is $2.99, and a yearly one is $29.99. Besides, you can unlock effects separately; though a subscription is better as it covers all of these.
