Getting feedback from our players has always been our way of creating the best games we can. Thats why 10 years ago, we designed the GAMES2GETHER platform and program to fill the missing link between our dev team and our players. Today we continue in that tradition with an all-new gameplay opportunity!

Introducing HUMANKIND Closed Beta!

OpenDev is a series of targeted gameplay scenarios that weve been introducing to players as our way of collecting feedback from the community to help us to shape the game.

As part of the OpenDev program, the Closed Beta will be available from June 13th at 14:30 PT / 23:30 CEST to June 21st at 14:30 PT / 23:30 CEST.

QUESTIONS

What is included in the Closed Beta?
50 cultures: Play through 5 full gameplay eras or 200 turns, whichever comes first. Each era, youll get to choose from among 10 different cultures, each with their own unique gameplay attributes.

Master battles on land & sea: Industrial era (Era 5) brings new opportunities. Exploit coal and oil to push your economy to new heights of productivity. Build railways to cheaply and quickly move goods and troops. Fight the biggest battles yet, support them with long range artillery bombardment, and take to the skies to keep an eye on your enemies!

Conduct diplomacy with 7 AI opponents: Test out our contextual diplomacy system and give us some feedback to improve it for release. See how much Fame you can earn and compare scores with your friends!

Play as Edgar Allan Poe: leave your mark on Humankind as the one of the most influential poet and novelist of his time, author of The Raven and The Fall of the House of Usher. The Edgar Allan Poe avatar will be included in the Day One edition of the game.

Face your favorite content creators: Lomadiah, Burke Black, ZeratoR and more now have their own avatar in HUMANKIND, each with their distinct personality. Will you earn the most fame against them?

How can I join?
If you already played the Victor OpenDev, then the Closed Beta should already be in your library. If not, please follow these steps:

1)Make sure that HUMANKIND is in your Steam library.

a)If you have pre-purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam, it should be there already.

b)If you have purchased a Steam key from another retailer, you must Redeem the key on Steam first before proceeding to the next step.

2)Visit GAMES2GETHER.

a)If you already have an account, go ahead and login.

b)If you do not have an account, please create one.

3)Steam connect your G2G account on the rewards page here. If you have already connected your account in the past, you may need to re-sync.

4)Click on the Closed Beta reward and hit Redeem.

5)Go back to your Steam library, and HUMANKIND Closed Beta should appear there automatically.



In what regions will HUMANKIND Closed Beta be available?

Closed Beta will be available worldwide, but will only be playable in English. HUMANKIND will however be localized in several other languages at its release.

How long will the Closed Beta stay in my Steam library?

Closed Beta will be available from June 13th at 14:30 PT / 23:30 CEST to June 21st at 14:30 PT / 23:30 CEST.
