Mage Tower: Call of Zadeus is an open-world roguelike deckbuilder with no set paths.

You play as a hero on a quest to stop a warlock from summoning an interdimensional monster known as Zadeus. Travel across a randomly-generated world, visit towns, and delve into dungeons. Battle the monsters roaming the land, collect cards, and upgrade your deck.

Defend the realm against the boss wizards and destroy them!

NO NODES, PLEASE

Travel in any direction and explore a randomized map full of towns, dungeons, monsters, events, and other secrets. Swap cards in and out of your deck anytime. Collect overworld powerups and spells. A free-roaming deckbuilder you can play however you want.

A SEQUEL TO THE CARD GAME

Mage Tower is a digital sequel and adaptation to the 2013 internationally published card game Mage Tower, A Tower Defense Card Game, with hundreds of new cards.

TOWER DEFENSE-INSPIRED COMBAT

Each enemy is represented by a deck of monsters. Monsters attack in waves, and you must destroy them before they get close enough to attack you. Along the way you'll fight Spellcasters, Familiars, and even Miniboss monsters!

BIGGER TEXT BOXES

Mage Tower features more complex cards with bigger text boxes than other deckbuilders. Escape the lurch of endless "4 Damage + Random Combat Mechanic" cards! Level up cards during battle, summon overpowered "Schemes" that take a few turns to activate, send your Barbarian down one of 3 Warpaths with powerful Warpath cards, and more.

INNOVATIVE ENDGAME

First-of-its kind "Chaos Mode" endgame progression encourages creativity and building decks with underutilized cards, rather than playing the same archetypes over and over.

Note on feature list: Dungeons, Chaos Mode, and the Barbarian class are still in development.

FEATURES:

  • Single-player roguelike deckbuilder.
  • Late 90's aesthetic.
  • Wander an open world made up of 5 biomes, visit towns, discover magical obelisks, and more.
  • Collect trade resources including Coin, Scrolls, Trinkets, Ingots, and Secrets for special effects, or to draft specific cards. This allows you actual control to build the deck you want like you would be able to with your collectible card game collection in real life.
  • "Chaos Mode" endgame progression system promotes creativity over stale archetypes.
  • Defend the realm against Boss Wizards' attempts to conquer towns.
  • Build buildings in towns to receive powerups and gain resources.
  • Crazy boss fights! Battle dozens of plant monsters, a camp of hidden bandits, warlocks with otherworldy spells, or multiple cards representing the various parts of a single foe.
  • Collect Dungeon Clues to gain intel on the world's dungeons, then delve inside to get rare "banned cards" and artifacts.
  • More advanced, strategic, and complex cards than other deckbuilders. BIGGER TEXT BOXES!
  • Easy to learn - The original card game has a 2.83/5 complexity rating on BGG.
  • Sequel to the 2013 card game which raised over $24k on Kickstarter and has been sold in game stores internationally.
