The art style impresses with cartoonishly bright colors, and the only difference between this release and the original version is the higher resolution. The tracks were designed in such a way that the power slide is shining and it creates a playful, fast, and memorable effect. Twenty years ago, Crash Team Racing was introduced to the world and even to this day its dynamic courses and challenging but straightforward mechanics make the game one of the best in its genre.

Now we have Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which is a quality remake of Naughty Dog’s 1999 hit. We can already say with certainty that long-term success awaits this new release.

The developers pleasantly surprised us with the introduction of a whopping 31 racing tracks and 12 battle arenas. The good news is that the devs aren’t planning to stop there and a lot of updates, some of which will be free, are on the way.

Well-known characters were recreated together with some of the original speedways. Adventure Mode returns, and it now allows you to take on up to 16 courses, which are dotted around a pretty large hub world. When you complete these races, you’ll unlock new wheels, kart bodies, and characters so that you gradually get used to new layouts, weapons, and road-handling mechanics.

After the release on June 21, three Grand Prix events are scheduled. The first one will commence on July 3 and players will get free access to the all-new Twilight Tour track. Gamers will complete races during this limited-time event and earn progress towards customization options such as new skins, characters, stickers, and karts.

Nitro-Fueled handles amazingly well and the controls are very easy. There’s not much to learn and remember in terms of controlling, and if you’re an old fan, it’s more than likely that you can drive with closed eyes even when you kick into the highest gear.

Obviously, with such a huge number of game modes, karts, characters, power-ups, weapons, and battle arenas, we’re sure that you’ll want to come back to the game over and over again.

The developers managed to keep the best from original and add an impressive number of new exciting features to please all old fans and allure new ones for a test drive.
