Hell Let Loose
Hell Let Loose is an Early Access action FPS game by Black Matter that finally breaks the barrier between the WWII setting and the incredibly popular our days battle royale genre. In this game, you will experience highly realistic 50v50 battles on detailed famous historical locations, shoulder to shoulder only with real players. You can download Hell Let Loose for Windows on Steam Early Access.
Graphics – 5/5
Hell Let Loose game doesn’t look as impressive as Call of Duty WWII, because it doesn’t involve all those scripted dialogues and falling bombs. Everything here happens in real time and keeps you so thrilled that you wouldn’t have enough time to admire falling planes and burning neighborhoods. On the other hand, the level of detalization in Hell Let Loose latest version is incredibly high, beginning from the 100% authentic uniform design, ending with mud, particles, and explosions. Environment physics is awesome, as well.
Gameplay – 5/5
Hell Let Loose gameplay is the essence of everything good that Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, and Battlefield have when it goes to multiplayer. We didn’t measure, but maps don’t seem to be as huge as in the latest WWII Battlefield, but that’s great because you won’t really have an opportunity to keep ambushing the whole match long. The weapon roster includes all historical guns that were used by the Alliance soldiers and the Nazi troops. Every little piece is authentic and detailed, making history fags happy. You can experience driving tanks and commanding artillery, as well. Hopefully, some kind of air battles will be added too. Developers say that it’s a multiplayer WWII scale that we’ve never seen before, and it’s not a lie at all.
Controls – 4.5/5
Hell Let Loose online game was initially planned only for PC, so only the keyboard and mouse inputs are available at the current development stage. Controller support is an essential feature for such games, so, hopefully, it will be added in the full release version. The present responsiveness is entirely multiplayer-ready.
Replay Value – 5/5
Hell Let Loose full game includes realistic battle all over Europe where all the most significant battles took place. On the other hand, we really lacked locations from the USSR and the Middle East, where millions left their lives for us. Again, it’s all solvable with the full release.
The Bottom Line
Not to be too sentimental in this Hell Let Loose review, we want to say that it’s a title for those who want to remember and understand how it really was. Battles are intense and ruthless. You have to make your way through mud, try no to fall under tank tracks, and always keep an eye on the number of bullets. It’s been long since the best WWII games, and Hell Let Loose is going to join them.
Fast 50v50 matchmaking;
Historically correct locations, uniform, and weapons;
Large Early Access player base;
Epic theatre of war.
Versions for consoles weren’t announced.
