Rogue Planet is a short horror game about the Mayan Phenomenon of 2012. Made over the course of 3 years as my first big Steam game using GameGuru.
STORY MODE:
You are Markus Steelwyre: a soldier trapped in an endless cycle of misery in the Mayan Year of 2012. You are comatose after being seemingly shot in both arms, and the face. Yet you miraculously survive and find yourself in the events leading to that moment. The world is slowly ending, and you can't escape it. This is no dream.
If you wish to survive, you must burn the memories to the ground if the real world is to continue, since a world without consequences can't exist and be happy, right? As you continue, the horrible truths of the dream become reality. The longer you stay, the more real they become.
How can you know where you're going if you can't remember where you came from? And how far will you walk away from reality before you see where it leads? Wait where is everyone? Are you having deja vu or are you going in circles? And is she begging for you to end the world?
Only you know what you're willing to sacrifice. The clock is ticking.
Your destiny is nigh.
FEATURES:
2-3 hour long story.
26 Levels.
10 Weapons. (4 Hidden Ones.)
Colorful CRT-Style visuals.
Music by the many talented folks of Rogues Unrivaled.
Various locations of a fantastical and war torn Santa Fe, New Mexico in multiple states of reality to explore.
MULTIPLAYER:
Out of commission. Repairs in progress. Stay tuned.
WARNING:
This game may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy or those sensitive to bright and flashing lights. Play at your own risk.
Bear in mind that this is early software, and as such is available free of charge. This price will not change for the final release.
Expect technical hiccups and lots of bugs including instability, freezing, input delay, and low in-game performance.
Please check the manual for any issues you may have. You can also contact me for other tech issues.
Stay tuned for further news on game updates.
