Secret Neighbor is a horror game developed by Hologryph for the PC platform. This is a multiplayer action game in which six gamers need to break into the house to free their friend. All you have is fifteen minutes to collect the keys scattered around the house. To learn more, keep on reading this review and decide whether you want to download Secret Neighbor for your console.
Like in the first part, the Secret Neighbor game also lacks the visuals upgrade. Unless the developers to make it their signature. The graphics still look poor, and the textures used are itchy and rough. The game was released as a beta earlier, and a lot of people who tried it were complaining about low-quality visuals. However, it seems like nobody responsible for developing really gave a damn about it.
Secret Neighbor is an intermediate chapter between the first and second episodes of Hello Neighbor and tells a whole new story. The main feature of the game is a traitor, which is one of the players who receives such a role at the beginning of the game. Actually, this traitor is a neighbor. He has the ability to use a child's disguise to quarrel gamers from inside the company.
The rules of the game are extremely simple: six children must get into the creepy Neighbor's house, find the keys to all the doors, and find out the terrible secret of the villain. Each character has a unique skill: for example, a leader can temporarily accelerate all children in a certain radius around him, and a scout carries with him a slingshot, the charges of which can scare away the enemy. The neighbor, in turn, not only has great power but also knows how to set traps, throw smoke bombs, and to do harm to kids in every possible way.
For each match, you’ll be given 15 minutes, but often the finale comes much faster. It all depends on the teamwork. If all the players scatter into different rooms, the Neighbor will very quickly catch everyone one by one and put them in cages. On the other hand, if you run in a crowd, you may not have time to explore the whole house. Therefore, you constantly have to choose between risk and key search speed.
Running around a strange house, propping up doors with chairs, throwing objects at a neighbor. People who played the first game saw all this, and the new game does not offer something new. The multiplayer features and voice chat makes the game fun, as you can communicate with a neighbor and share thoughts about what is happening in the district.
The controls of the Secret Neighbor game are more responsive this time. It seems like this issue was considered and fixed by the developers’ team because now the game works almost perfectly. However, there are still bugs and errors that must be corrected. And another thing is that there are still a lot of keys to remember.
Replay Value 4/5
There’s no doubt that the new Secret Neighbor looks better than its previous part, and despite the technical side, the gameplay is really exciting and worth your attention. The artificial intelligence thinks and works smarter this time, so you have to boost up all your attention and logic to figure out the neighbor’s tricks.
The Bottom Line
Secret Neighbor is actually a cool game brought by Dynamic Pixels and Hologryph to challenge us. There are a lot of quests and tricks that make you think and concentrate on the game. It is better to try once than to talk a lot about, so we recommend you to download Secret Neighbor. The game is available for Xbox One and Windows platforms.
Replay Value 4
Artificial intelligence that acts smarter;
Lots of quests and puzzles to think out.
The idea didn’t change much;
Still many glitches and bugs to fix.
