Finding Bigfoot is a survival horror game in the action-adventure genre designed by young indie developers from Ukraine. This game is about a group of tourists who have disappeared in the National Park of Jasper. You as a player will try to find the reason of the mysterious travelers’ vanishing. Indeed, everything will point to the fact that Bigfoot has attacked them.
So you’ll have to use your dexterity and check your chances in the hunt for Bigfoot. But keep in mind: even the most experienced hunter can be a victim.
Graphics — 4.5/5
The Bigfoot’s developers have worked hard on the graphics, and as a result, we can see an incredibly realistic monster with some unique magical powers and beautifully detailed area with lakes, swamps and caves. The surrounding forest is so intimidating that you will not want to move there and risk your safety.
The game’s visuals are good. All motions are fluid, special effects well detailed and three-dimensional graphics is at a decent level in the game.
Gameplay — 5/5
Your primary goal in the game is to find four missing tourists on the map and to catch Bigfoot. Your safety zone in Finding Bigfoot will be a trailer, which is equipped with everything necessary for hunting Bigfoot: traps, lures, cameras, weapons and flares. You will have to leave your trailer, hunt for Bigfoot in the forest and find the dead tourists’ bodies, using the map.
To catch Bigfoot, you have to place traps with bait, which is the meat of the deer and disguise the trap with some leaves/ Hide there a camera that will help you to observe the trap. You will have two types of guns in the game: in which there are two types of ammunition: one with the darts and a regular ammunition.
When you harm Bigfoot at first, his health indicator will appear at the top of the screen. In addition to the gun, you’ll have special tracking bullets that can monitor Bigfoot. But you will have only 6 of them, so use the bullets wisely.
You’ll learn a few details about Bigfoot that might help you to survive: he is always out on daytime and nighttime; he makes a roar once in the trap; he’s fast; he can't climb rocks. Bigfoot will likely attack your trailer, open the windows and swing inside in the attempt to hurt you, but you can use flares and gunshots to scare him away.
Controls — 4/5
There is nothing special about the controls in this game. You will use a mouse to control a camera view and your keyboard to move a character.
Replay Value — 4.5/5
A nice feature in this game is that you can have up to three people on a server and all of you can pick the same charater or different ones. The game’s difficulty depends on the number of players in one session what makes the playing process even more challenging. Unfortunately, there is no in-game chat available, so you won’t be able to stay in touch with your co-players.
Even after playing this game for a few times, you won’t be bored. You might not experience after a while the same fear as in the beginning, but you will still get the chills every time hearing Bigfoot’s roar.
Finding Bigfoot doesn’t have any in-game purchases, which allows you to enjoy this game from the beginning thoroughly.
Finding Bigfoot is a fun game with beautiful graphics, interesting locations, intriguing storyline and realistic characters. However, it’s still under development and will be supplemented with new ideas and possibilities. The developers have already done a good job, so all we have to do is waiting for additions to surprise us. For now, just choose a hunter to play and catch that mystical creature - Bigfoot.
Finding Bigfoot is an excellent horror game of the action-adventure genre that will have you playing with bated breath.
