Happy Wheels
Happy Wheels is a free singleplayer game, where players should pass dangerous courses. Your mission in Happy Wheels is to successfully avoid all the traps (such as spikes, arrows, mines, etc.) and get to the finish. Your character can easily die, so you should be very careful. At first, the game was released only for Internet browsers, but later developers ported Happy Wheels on iOS platform. So now you can find and download Happy Wheels from App Store. Happy Wheels release date for iOS is August 2015.
Graphics 4/5
Happy Wheels uses 2D graphics. It is colorful and not realistic. But there is still a lot of bloody and violent scenes, so we would not recommend children to play the game. The animation effects are smooth. Thanks to the simple graphics, the game does not lag even on weak devices. Each character looks different. Heroes have unique clothes, hairstyles, and even voices. Graphics look nice, despite the age of the game.
Gameplay 4/5
Tap the “PLAY” button that is located on the right side of the main menu. Then, select any level you want to play. There are more than 50 levels. Developers usually update the game by adding new levels and characters.
While playing, you will have to do multiple jumps to avoid saws and arrows. The game might also try to bounce you off the ground, and thus you can break the legs. You have to restart the level when your character dies.
In the browser version of Happy Wheels, players could create their own maps, but in the mobile versions, you will be able to play only the default levels. There is no possibility for you to create your own map.
Controls 5/5
Happy Wheels controls are as simple as possible. Arrows on the right side allow you to move your character. Arrows on the left side allow you to control the balance of your character. You can also tap the “jump” icon to jump. If you fell off the bike or any other single-track vehicle, you can crouch and grab the objects. To crouch, tap the buttons of the left side of your screen, and to grab the objects, tap the “hand” icon on the right side.
Replay Value 3/5
There are many challenging levels in Happy Wheels. But you probably will not like to replay the game one more time because there is nothing new to see. Nevertheless, it will take time to finish the game, and developers regularly update Happy Wheels, so you might as well wait for the new courses.
The Bottom Line
Happy Wheels is a singleplayer game that firstly was created for Internet Browsers but later was ported for iOS platform. The game has a lot of blood scenes, and as we mentioned, we do not recommend kids to play the game. The game is fun, and you can spend some time playing it, but it may get bored in a while.
