As you dive into the gameplay of Monster Hunter: World, you take on the role of a hunter who slays monsters in a living and breathing ecosystem.

Graphics — 5/5

The game Monster Hunter: World is known for its stunning graphics. The game leverages Capcom’s proprietary MT Framework engine which provides support to magnificent environments and well-detailed characters. Above all, branding your foes – the monsters – beautiful won’t be untrue. Apart from the monsters, the characters, realistic backgrounds, attack effects, and animations are spellbinding too. The game graphics options further enhance the gaming experience. They let the gamers select and switch to 1080p or 4K resolution before entering into the gameplay.

Gameplay — 5/5

Humans and other races have set their eyes on the New World which is teeming with powerful monsters. The researchers now wish to study these creatures. Several ocean-bound fleets have been sent to the New World from the old one to set up bases for the researchers. The Hunter is a part of the fifth fleet. Before it reaches the shore, it's destroyed by a monster named Zorah. The Hunter has now orders from the ‘Research Commission’ to clear out any hostile monsters that he finds.

An action RPG, Monster Hunter: World is played from a third-person perspective. During the game process, you come across a large number of monsters. You get different weapons and assistance to eliminate these creatures one by one. You can either go alone on the hunt or play the game in the Co-Op mode. This mode allows you to team up with up to three players. You can even collect materials from fallen foes to make new gear for yourself. You can utilize these weapons and resources against big and evil beasts that show up in the game later.

Controls — 4/5

There are several things that you get to control in the game. There are keys on the controller of your controller that let you do the same. For instance, with the right trigger, you can charge your attack or transform your weapon. For quick attack, you can press B. For medium attack, Y is the button that you need to press. There are actions that you get to see when you combine the buttons. Press B and Y together for a massive charged attack.

Replay Value — 4/5

Revolution is futile when it comes to Monster Hunter: World. First, it’s the compelling storyline that holds you to the game for long. Then comes the powerful weapons, special moves, and the stunning graphics that enrich your gaming experience by leaps and bounds. On the whole, the game comes with quite a high-replay value. You also return to the game more frequently to combat the monsters and learn their attacking pattern.

Conclusion

Get to hunt the giant beasts in the New World and fulfill the objective of setting a research base for the ‘research commission.’ Deploy your various attacking techniques and leverage your weapons to their full potential in your endeavor. But make sure you play strategically or you’ll end up depleting your stamina and halting your character, thereby, making him prone to the attacks of the creatures.
