Professional Review

UNO is a virtual implementation of the famous classic card game which is traditional for family gatherings and parties. This version by Ubisoft allows you to enjoy all features of the game in online multiplayer matches as well as in single-player offline sessions. You can download UNO by Ubisoft for all major gaming platforms, such as PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.

Graphics 4.5/5

As for a virtual version of a card game, UNO latest version looks incredibly smooth and modern. The most recent 4K-remaster made it much sharper and deeper. If you don’t like the classic red background, you can download tree more themes, such as Just Dance, Rayman, and WInter (free).

Gameplay 5/5

If you have never played the UNO game, here are the brief rules. There is a deck of 108 cards. Every player receives 7 random cards at the beginning of the game. When the game begins, everyone should put cards to match colors, shapes, and numbers. If you don’t have a playable card, you must take one from the draw pile and pass the turn if the received card is unplayable too. So what does the word “UNO” stand for? This is the most important rule. You have to shout UNO so that everyone could hear if you have a single card left. If you forget to do it, you must take 2 cards extra. Fortunately, such a great rule is implemented in this version of the game. You can become a winner if you play all your cards and score 500 points. If you are the first who used all cards, then you receive points from your nearest opponents hands.

You can play online UNO with up to 3 friends in the online multiplayer mode as well as in local multiplayer. For the last option, you need a console with 4 gamepads. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch provide this opportunity. It means that you don’t need a physical box of UNO and you won’t lose cards anymore! This game is the perfect entertainment for kids above 7, parties, and family gatherings.

Controls 5/5

The controls in UNO are as simple as possible. Of course, they are different for consoles, touchscreens, and PC. We tested all these options for this UNO review. You have to use the cross-button and action buttons to choose and play cards on consoles. The PC version requires only a mouse to click on cards. The touch-screen version controls are also a bit different. You can see the UNO button on the screen.

Replay Value 5/5

This game is a perfect time killer if you prefer playing the single-player mode. It’s also an excellent solution for leisure parties and family gatherings. Every UNO match is very simple and takes no more than 15 minutes. The rules are straightforward, so the game will match the taste of everyone.

The Bottom Line

UNO by Ubisoft is perhaps the most playable virtual version of this classic game created by Merl Robbinson in 1971. Unfortunately, it’s not a free one, but you can play cross-platform matches! Such a great option is worth more than $10. If you are a fan of UNO, this gaming app is a must-have for you.

Download UNO by Ubisoft, if you like this game and want to have a good, uncomplicated game for friendly gatherings.
