Despite common doubts, Amazon Games managed to create a good-looking product. But is it as playable as admirable?

Crucible gameplay involves several multiplayer modes. Heart of the Hives is a 4-on-4 online race in which teams compete to catch the heart artifact left behind by monstrous hives creatures. Your team has to capture it to win. In Alpha Hunters, you have to team up with one other player and fight to become the last couple standing. This mode is much like the popular Battle Royale from Fortnite and PUBG but involves fewer players. Still, the gameplay speed is also very high, so that even the most avid online shooter fans won’t get bored. 

In the third mode, Harvester Command, you have to join a team of 8 players and oppose another large team in a resource harvesting race. Your aim is to gain control over the largest number of essence harvesters scattered around the level. 

Controls – 5/5

It’s fair to compare the control scheme of the Crucible game online with Apex Legends and Titanfall. Similarly to those games, you’re also required to think fast and utilize loads of commands to change your position as fast as possible. Nevertheless, it’s very convenient to behave like this using both keyboard-plus-mouse and controller setups. Pick up the one you like more and enjoy dynamic gameplay.

Crucible latest version that we tested for this Crucible review offers only 3 game modes, which is not as many as most AAA multiplayer franchises offer. Still, the game presents unique setting and gameplay mechanics, so it’s rather exciting to master these 3 modes waiting for the updates to come. Hopefully, they’re already on the way, Amazon!
