Graphics — 4.5/5
If you look for the common combat game graphics, then this is not the case. Paint the Town Red has unique for fighting games graphics as it combines sandbox visuals with some 3D.
Here you will find the pixelated characters typical for Minecraft and the surroundings performed in high-quality 3D. Despite the excess of violence, the game doesn’t look frightening. All because of its funny cartoonish visual performance.
Gameplay — 4.5/5
Paint the Town Red has gameplay full of fun, though it is a combat game in its classical sense. Your main goal is to punch your enemies by all means. All the weapons are suitable: from a bar chair to the baton.
Fight fiercely, because you need to stay the only one on feet. Of course, there will be a lot of blood from broken skulls to paint the town red. You will be surprised by the variety of options to do so. To save yourself from dangers of all kinds, you can use objects like a hammer, a chair, a knife, an ashtray, and anything you find in your vicinity to beat the opponent. Lethal weapons are also available.
You need to stay strong against the crushing enemies blows and be nimble to dodge the blows. Your enemies are clumsy as zombies so you will have enough time to prepare for the melee. You can carry out fist fights on numerous occasions such as the bar, the gym, colleges, and so on.
To get more fun from playing, go to the Arena mode and start a multiplayer game. With this mode, you’ll get more challenges comparing to the single mode.
Proceeding in the game brings rewards. So when you are playing the Arena mode, you can compare your score on the leaderboard against other players. The spirit of competition is bringing much more action to the game.
Controls — 4.5/5
The controls are straightforward as they are developed for fighting the enemies to the full. The commands vary between grabbing different objects and punching your enemies.
For example, the left mouse click activates the attack. The right mouse click blocks the attack.
Different keys give you an opportunity to pick up the weapons and manage some other needed manipulations: E is for picking items, G is for dropping objects, F is for throwing.
You will find the controls rather simple. However, you’ll need time to get used to them.
Replay Value — 4/5
If you are a fan of the sandbox combat games fans, you would love to devote your time to this game many times. We promise you will get an outstanding gaming experience.
If you don’t like combat games, then Paint the Town Red won’t appeal to you with its graphics or captivating plot.
Are you a fan of combat game? Then get your hands at Paint the Town Red, this game will engage you for sure. With its innovative options like the Arena mode, leaderboard rankings, multiplayer co-op modes it brings a lot of fun for fighting games fans. It can become your unlimited source of entertainment, but not for a long time.
Unfortunately, you can’t play it for free. But you can understand if the game suits you from the dozens of screenshots on the Web.
