Would You Rather? is a special sort of game, maybe rather a psychological test, telling you the truth about yourself and others in the most unexpected ways. Download Would You Rather? for iOS or Android, answer questions, submit your own and enjoy!

Graphics 2/5

It’s a text game, so there is almost nothing one would call graphics. All you see is a field with two questions, and even these are displayed in a way far from perfect, with too saturated colors and poor contrast. Even plain black letters on the white background might have looked better. The developers should have installed two or three reader apps and see how their designers make texts easily readable.

Gameplay 5/5

And that’s the undoubtable pro. The gameplay is simple: you are presented a pair of options, with one to choose. After you tap your answer, you see the percentage of users who have chosen this or another answer. It’s fun to see whether you’re out of the crowd or a part of it. Besides that, some ratios may be unexpected for you.

It’s more than funny: answering sharp questions you may look so deep inside you that you even had no suspicion of such depths. It depends on how explicit these questions are. Some of them are sorts of trolley problems, with no better option to prefer. Others may seem obvious… unless you’re being frank.

The most interesting part of this game is that you can submit your own choice, asking other users to tell if they would rather this or that. Then, as it gets answered, you can see the percentage of choices. Your question may be found inappropriate and banned if someone reports it as such. On the other hand, you may as well report the options you see and find inappropriate.

Controls 4/5

There is simply nothing about controls. Tap Start, see the first question. If you’d rather not answer it, tap “Skip” and proceed to the next one. After you answer and see the stats, tap Skip anyway. The hardest thing is to close ads when they pop up. It will take a little pixel hunting.

Replay Value 5/5

The game seems to never run out of questions, as users keep sending their dilemmas. And when you start offering your own, this can become a sort of addiction. Seeing people taking you seriously at your frankest is a drug, you know. It’s especially great when you’re learning foreign languages: you can play it also in German, French, Spanish,

Conclusion

This would have been a great game if not for ads. Rarely does one see a game that shows you two ads at a time, one after another. Of course, you may buy the ad-free version for $1.99 (and if you get addicted, you will), or promote your question for $0.99 to get more response.
